Can anyone tell me if what thay say about you feel sick or you are sick with girls and not with boys is true? As im feeling so sick and tired this time but i was fine when i was pregnant with my son, just thought someone would know! 10week and yes i have a smal bump already (did'nt show till 16weeks with my first) :?:

I havent had severe sickness, mine stopped at 12 weeks!

hi i had little sickness with my 1st and he was a boy this time i have been very very sick been in hospital with it and i am havin a little girl,

I doubt its true, I was fine with my first and sick as a dog with the second and my first was a girl. I think you can rest more the first time and the second time you are awake more so maybe seem to be sick more often.
The joys

Lots of ladies on this forum were sick and are having boys. I was very sick but don't find out for about 2 weeks. I really wanted a boy but people kept telling me sickness means a girl. I don't mind what I have now. I don't think the sickness makes any difference. My SIL has had two girls and no sickness and is pregnant for the third time and has had sickness and thinks she's having a boy because this pregnancy has been so different! I guess we will all have to wait and see! :D

most of my friends had boys and they all had sickness.

what baffles me is that i had sickness with my first daughter but no sickness with my other two and this one very bad sickness!

what the heck does that mean! LMAO!

To be honest, Im not sure if sickness shows whether it is a boy/girl!!!
So many people say so many different things its hard to know what to think isnt it? I think it could just be the way each individual reacts to the pregnancy hormones and maybe the body reacts differently in different ones!!! It certainly is a mystery.

i was sick for the 1st tri and had a boy my friend was sick in the 1st tri and had a girl! dont think the old wives tale is true

I saw on a website the other day that the BBC were making a programme about conceiving babies and what makes a difference to it being a boy or girl, also looking at things like tight pants on blokes for fertility etc. They were looking for 100 couples to follow during pregnancy. I was going to go for it, but I knew my husband wouldn't! Besides I don't think I would like to give birth with a camera crew watching!!!

oh god i wouldn't care if the whole of the FA football team were watching! Im too much in my own world to notice LOL

Being a first time Mum, not sure how labour is going to go! I assume you have other sprogs, so know a bit of what to expect. Did you have pain relief with the others?

Did you not find it that bad or did you just make a decision as regards the effect on the baby that you weren't going to have any drugs?

My mum is a reflexologist. She is going to be giving me treatment throughout my pregnancy for relaxation and during labour to help with pain relief. She has been with two other ladies already during labour neither of which needed any pain relief. Got to be the way to go!

yes i decided for my sake and the babies sake i didn't want anything harder than gas and air. All my friend had epidurals and ended up ripping or having to have the baby forceped out so i thought sod that ill take the pain and not risk it!

I feel similarly really, i don't like the idea of not being able to feel what is going on and I think it is better for the baby. I let you know in about 7 months time whether the reflexology worked or not!

I saw a programme recently on acupuncture where a lady was being treated during open heart surgery and only needed a mild anesthetic as well. She was actually awake. I wondered whether acupuncture would also work during labour. Similarly with hypnotherapy?

well perhaps you should be the first to try it! :D

Just going a little off topc here but when i was preggas with emily my eldest i had a feflexology demo at college and the woman who did mine looked at my foot and asked me if i was preggas. I didn't know at the time that i was so i said no. She said the part of my foot that represented the womb was swollen. 3 weeks later i discovered i was preggas.

Yes it is possible to tell with reflexology different ailments etc.

Will look into the old acupuncture theory and let you know! :D

On the same note as your post, my OH's aunt is a medium and she told me that I would be pregnant around Easter. Strangely enough I am. Life is a bit spooky sometimes!
