Hi ladies,

My friend was talking about her bounty pack and it makes me realise I wasn't given one! Apparently we should get them at booking in appt- is that right? Is it too late for me to ask my midwife for one next time? I'm 25 weeks- would be interested to see what's in it, especially as a 1st time mum! Also are there any other birth club type things that give samples etc? I haven't bought much at all yet so it would be really fun to have a look through free samples and have a play around with them before I go shopping for essentials!

Thanks, Ruby xx

I got one at booking in but most of it was rubbish. You do get your voucher in it to get the next one though but when I got mine home from Boots they'd given me the 'family' one and not the mum to be one so I've given up with them  I may be wrong but I think you can get the vouchers via bounty website or possibly Emma's diary? I've definitely seen them online anyway.

No i didnt have one at booking in.
Inboth pregnancies I was given jt at the hosp after my 12wk scan.

Then the other 2 u can collect from asda/boots or superdrug xx

If you sigb up to emmas doarys they do they own version of bounty packs. Alot r just money off samples and vouchers.

Id sign up to heinz baby, cow & gate etc as they send you free food fruit pouches and money off they prodjcts for when the baby starts weaning. Also cute lil spoons etc. It all helps and its nice to get freebees! Xx

I got one at my first hospital scan, reception gave me it. They're rubbish! Mainly full of flyers and vouchers (for American brands with excess shipping fees) and the only 'samples' you get are like, one nappy and a small pot of Bepanthen. I'm not even bothering with future ones. Emma's Diary ones are just as disappointing....

They are all extremely disappointing. Which is why I'm not bothering this time round. Their isn't much usefulness for them. The vouchers are rubbish is you don't want to wean your baby using the jars of food. Which I know I lot of people don't. The only useful one I ever had was a free snap fish photo book order on any item from boots but even then the discount code came up as invalid even though the voucher was in date. Xxx

I was really disappointed with mine too - think the first one had a pen some dettol wipes and some tea bags, the second had a tiny tube of nipple cream and tons and tons of leaflets - I got both mine from Argos as my local Boots never had them in so I don't know if the Argos batches are just poor

The only freebee I remember having was a tea bag and nappy cream. But I buy that anyways lol. Most was just leaflets on savings account which I set my own up with my bank.
Though the best one I signed up to actually was hipp, I got a free height chart, stickers, a cute little spoon. All are useful now. Xxx

Sooo helpful- you are all stars! So I'm not missing out too much then :-) thank you for all the replies- much appreciated xxx

It's really just advertising. Loads of leaflets. Think in the ones I got last time there was a tiny pot of sudocrem and then just loads of leaflets advertising formula companies, Johnsons, Detol, Fairy or Persil etc lol.

When i had my first baby 12 years ago they bounty and Emma's diary packs were really good. One of them even had a box of lindt chocolates in.

I think the most useful thing in my first pack was a week supply of vitamins but I've decided to use a different 'level' so even that wasn't useful to me haha. Haven't got the others yet

I loved my bounty pack last time, loads of random samples. This time it was rubbish!!!

The one at the hospital I found most handy at last pregnancy but ypu get hounded by life insurance and all kinds so now we've moved im not not bothering

I have had the bounty packs & Emmas diary ones. Fair enough the samples are small but they are handy to pop into your changing bag. I've had Sudocrem, baby wipes, Johnson baby oil & nappy cream, mini samples of Fairy non - bio...lots of bits really. It's free so I wouldn't complain about it. Also signed up to cow & gate - got a cute little cow teddy, pregnancy diary, im due soon & they sent me a little card which was sweet x

I got another bounty pack from hospital and have to say was very impressed with this one , still 80% leaflets but the samples were very good . I've not routed through it properly yet but first impressions good :)

Ooh good! Well tbh I will be grateful for any free samples and even leaflets might be interesting to me, with this being my first baby. I'll ask my midwife next time and I'll sign up to Cow & Gate, Emma's Diary etc. I'm currently obsessed with all things baby!!! Thanks everyone- I so appreciate all the replies :-)
