How do I know which bottle teats to choose from? I.e - Fast/Slow Flow and which shape is best? xxx

Hi! I think shape is personal preference really. I have the tommy tippee closer to nature bottles and teats. My baby is very happy with them. As for stage, he's on stage 1, slow flow. Stage 2/Medium flow are meant for 3 months and onwards and stage 3/Fast flow are for 6 months on.. General rule of thumb is that if your baby is making the teat collapse and sucking too hard he/she's ready to go up a teat.

Hope this helps!

We have these bottles too do you breastfeed as wel or jut use these bottles

Ah as i want to breastfeed but express too

That's why I chose them. If I breast fed in the beginning and decided to change then these would be perfect as the teats are supposed to mimic the mothers nipple. As I've decided to bottle feed I'm not sure if they wouldve been good for what you want. Perhaps someone else can help you there. Xx

I got the tomee tipee closer to nature ones, im planning to breastfeed, and they will be used if my mum is baby sitting or something. Heard good reviews of mix+matching with them.

I breastfed Joseph exclusively for 4 months & we struggled to get him onto bottles. The only ones he took to were the MAM brand. They look like squashed teats, but they were perfect for him. I think if you combine breast & bottle straight away it'll be easier for your baby to adapt. I was advised against combining the 2 as it's supposed to cause nipple/teat confusion. I personally think that's a load of rubbish & by listening to the advice of the health professionals, we made a rod for our own backs. If we went out anywhere, we had to go somewhere really close by & be back in time for his next feed, which meant necking our food at a rate of knots & not having the most relaxing night out!

I have avent bottles and size one teats at the moment. If he was struggling with the flow then I would get size 2. xx

im using avent and tommee tippee and the tommee tip ones always kinda deflate sideways on her does that mean she should go up a flow size?

Won't do any harm to try hun. See how she goes. I'm sure she'll let you know if it's too fast for her. Be warned though, the tommee tippee teats are not cheap! I paid just over £6 for 2 medium flow teats!

hope there good, I brought the Tomme Tippee expressing things , which came wth two bottles as I aim to breastfeed and use them later to mix feed my milk or right from the start if baby cant feed for a bit , (past babies had issues in scbu etc, meaning breastfeeding just didn't happen)
