I have a booking in appointment with the midwife on monday..
Since I miscarried last year will anything be different?
Will she give me a date for my scan or do they come via the post?

TIA

Hello Gypsy. Congratulations on your BFP! :)

I'm not sure whether they do anything differently after a miscarriage, but didn't want to read and run. I *think* that they don't treat it as anything other than normal unless you've had 3 previous miscarriages, although I think that depends on how far along you were when it happened.

Sorry I wasn't much help.

Hello,

I had a m/c in Feb and although they are aware of this they see no reason for concern about this pregnancy. My booking appointment was pretty straight forward, they explained what foods to avoid and what to expect in terms of scans etc, they also gave me some useful literature.

Take care
Bxx

Thank you both for replying. I am hoping she will treat me no differently.
I shall let you all know when I go on monday.

thank you again for answering.

I havent been Dr's yet to get referral to MW. I'm due to see her in a couple of weeks anyway so might as well wait till then.
Last time I saw MW then got letter for scan appointment and saw consultant around 16 weeks.

Oh gawd I'm going to have the nutty MW again. She was barking and always ended every sentence with GORGEOUS :?

I haven;t seen the doctor, just asked a reception and they said to book straight in with the midwife....

Last time with Eefie I saw a doctor and said can you refer me to the midwife please, he replied "Why?"

Errr coz I just fancied a chat and a cup of tea of course!
