feels like everyone is TTC except me!

I want to bite the bullet and start either now or in January. I feel impatient and want to get on with it but DH is being a brat and saying he hafta wait until eva is like 2 or something to start TTC! I don't want to start all over again when I'm back to some sort of normality!!!!

any ideas?

Find his weak point.

Tell him that you have all the stuff now, it won't cost extra
You won't have to have 2 work breaks
You will have all your hormonal and body confusion at once
You'll be free of children sooner

he thinks that they will fight and stress me out (cos him and his brother fought alot) plus he wants to give eva lots of time before we have another.

there is 17months between me and my sister and we have always been close because of it. I know it would be harder work but I would prefer to do the hard work now and start getting back to normal in a few years because I only want 2kids.

i can see it from both sides me and my brother are 11 months apart and we are so close, but also don't you want to enjoy your first baby for a while without worrying about another one? I don't know how i would feel in this situation, i just want one baby at the moment!! then i will start worrying when we want to have another one. One step at a time for me!!

And we get on great!! I think its great to have a brother close to my age!!

i try to ignore it but it comes back at least once a day. Next June feels like ages away booooooooooooooooooooo!

Money, inconvenience (it's inconvenient for him when i'm pregnant apparantly!! charming), spending time with eva first, doesnt want 2babies that can't walk, generally just not ready yet.

I miss being pregnant more than the new baby stage though - is that bad?? i suppose i would be excited for the new baby stage once the pregnancy was over. the thought of it all gives me butterflies!!

he has gone from saying he doesnt want any more kids, to 4years apart to 3years apart, to 2years apart! still to far away - im impatient! x

i somedays wish ide started ttc whilst kai was still a baby, but lookin back ive spent all my time with him an now he's ready for school ill be able to spend my days with baby if i ever get preggers again!
i actually would like 4 kids!

Toriella, men don't have these strong maternal feelings like us do they, better to have the support from OH though, could you compromise and start maybe december, so he meets you in the middle?

I have 7 yr old twins now and my last pregnancy (which didn't make it to term) was also twins.

Apparently I am 5 times more likely to have twins this time than 1 so maybe my 4 will be done in 2 pg's?

let's wait and see....

Hope your DH takes your side soon, I have 9 yrs between my brother and myself and it's only now that he's hit 18 that we're close... and I'm doing the age gap thing myself!

There is 11 yrs between me & my sister, but she is only my half sister and she left home when I was 6 and is really weird anyway, so we have never been close.

There is 7yrs between my cousins, an older brother and younger twins, and they have a great relationship, as did my mum and her Brother & Sister and there was 10 yrs between them.

I too am doing the age gap thing, which worried me at first, but when I look at other family members, I think in other ways it will be great.............there will be 8 yrs between DD and the baby!!! But DD is really excited and can't wait!

There is 16 months between me and my younger sister, and we had a typical sister relationship growing up (arguing, rivalry etc) but, we are also really close, and always have been..........we could be in the middle of a row, but if anyone trod on either of our toes, we would be right their for eachother!!

ToriElla, I hope your DH keeps lessening the gap for you hun, so you can start again soon......when I had DD, I too really missed being pregnant, and would have been happy to have been pg again at the time!

Try pointing out to him that studies have showen that the best time to have a second sibling is either before 18 months or after 4 years, because thats better for the existing child, if they are young they dont understand to get jelous, and if they are older thay can get involved more, in the middle and your prone to a jelous sibling who just sees a new baby is getting their attention and is more likely to act up!

I used that technique with my OH, that and the fact that the sooner all the kids are born the sooner they grow up and I can get back to full time work and we can have a lot more money! (get the skint phase out of the way is what I say).
