Kynon is a greedy little boy! He's started shoveling loads of food in at once, more than I would put in my mouth! he is also getting lazy with chewing, so swallowing really big lumps then either crying cos it hurts going down or gagging lots so he's sick and the lumps come back up. He don't really care but I do, Im off to visit my mum in a couple of weeks and she will freak out esp if he throws up at the table! He's just like a little pig, he's gross! Have your babies been through this, what do you do, give smaller food?

Yes Owen would do this, we gave smaller.chunks. he would.put loads in.but never got upset or made himself sick, good luck :)

my lo has developed a lovely wee habit of tearing off little chunks then putting them in her mouth - id say she started doing this at 8 months?

at the start she was so clumsy but now she is the daintiest little thing and its lovely to watch her eat!

Kynon is 8 months so maybe some kind of development phase. He used to chew and suck things for ages now he seems to rush and just swallow stuff, he sort of shuts his eyes when he does it too! Think he only cries when its a big lump that hurts, I've stopped giving him melon as he's done it a few times with that. Tonight it was with whole slices of corgette!

maybe once he sorts out his pincer grip he will be a bit better? or maybe its just a boy thing!!

Did u say he doesn't have any teeth yet Sarah? Maybe he will b more into the chewing when some come thru? Coz I guess its much more effort with just gums? Or perhaps he is teething and its sore to chew so he is just swallowing??? X

sometimes Holly stuffs her chops so full you'd think we had starved her for weeks! Then she'll gag, spit it out, pick it back up and try again!

No he still has no teeth so maybe his gums are sore

Maybe? Well Ethan is a big fan of cold cucumber sticks for sore gums! But like u said maybe smaller chunks will do the trick? X

No advice but didn't want to read and run and sounds horrible! Poor you, hope f avoids this phase!

He didn't do it today but I was careful what he had!

That's good! Hopefully he will continue to do so xx
