im not going to tell the council that lol i aint that daft. i am nto going to estate agency now as my oh got made redundant so he has no cash coming in . but it looks good my bil could get my oh a job soon enough

I've got no time for people who think the world owes them a living and if you can afford not to be on the council then you should pay your own way in life.

that's good news but while you still can I would look at temp jobs- the more effort you make the more effort the council will make and its not like you'd have to do a crappy job for long as you could start claiming MA soon. Don't forget the sooner you start claiming your MA the sooner it runs out, so the sooner you would have to go back to work after the baby is born.

I think it just came across at first that you couldn't be bothered to work and that you were waiting on the council to house you and look after you.

It's hard to word things rght sometimes on here... takes me ages to write some posts!

I would really recommend the bigger agencies. I thought it might be a problem but they only wanted me for a few weeks anyway so it wasn't at all. What did you do before you fell pregnant? I was working as a PA in the City but the travelling got too much for me so I had to start my Mat leave early- I wish I could have worked longer though because now I have to go back to work when bub is 6 months old

lol i am actually trained as a health and social care worker which means i can work in child care or social work

Were you working for a care agency before you fell pregnant? If you feel like you can't work because of health and safety issues you should be able to get SSP from the agency provided your doc will write you a certificate. Then again, care homes always have loads of paperwork that needs doing so I don't see what stops them getting you to do that.
