Im not really sure where to post this. Thinkimg this may be the best place as you have all been through labour

Just wondering when everyones bleeding had stopped after giving birth. With my first i bled for a full 2 weeks. My lg is 5 days only now and im pretty much just staining. Is this normal? Xx

I had very little blood after my labour. However, the staining etc did manage to last for several weeks! xx

Mine has just about stopped at almost 4 weeks but has been light since the first week. Check with your mw if you need reassurance but everyone responds differently - may be a case of counting yourself lucky

I barely had any from the start and it only lasted a few days too.

10 days first time. 6 weeks second time (mainly very light bleeding though!)

I bled for 6 weeks after Ruby, first week or 2 was heavy and then it started tailing off before stop starting for the last 2 weeks x

Today is the first time I haven't wore a pad, chase was 4 weeks old on Monday xxx

Thanks. Sounds like it really does range then. Spoke to a few friends and they were all different from 1 week to 4! Not much today either so hoping i am just 'lucky' lol hoping it does stop soon. Wearing pads is driving me insane. Leaving me with only what i can describe as is bad nappy rash!! LOL xx

My bleeding was heavy on the day of and the next day, I only gave birth on Friday morning and it's already much lighter than my normal periods and only really bleeds more than a couple of spots if I lay on my side for hours and then move. Im hoping that it will all stop by 2 weeks postpartum, there's nothing I hate more than wearing pads!

I'm 4 weeks pp and heavy bleeding stopped a week or so ago. Now I get bits and bobs but nothing liner worthy.

I stopped bleeding at around 6 days pp, just had spotting when I fed.

Was 11 days with my son! 3 weeks on with number 2 and still spotting! It's stop started a few times! Had nothing for 2 days then would start again, stop then start! I'm wearing light always pads and they do fine!

I hate pads but I think after 2 kids and a hanging episiotomy my tampax days are over! Think I woukd need equivikiant of a toilet roll

I think mine went a bit and come back.. but it went on (too) long enough for my likings! Fingers crossed it will just dry up from the staining your at now, try not to get more active and stay at the same pace as becoming more active can make the bleed come back from what I remember..

Get yourself some pelvic physio in a few months! I had a third degree tear and traumatised muscle.. For months even a year post birth I was crying thinking my tampon days were over.. And recently I was like oh hell yeah hallelujah! It didn't hurt and I managed to go shopping with a tampon rather than having to need pads, deff a celebration moment.. about two years post birth (not that i've been trying monthly tho could've maybe been fine again months ago!) just food for thought

So... i clearly spoke too soon. The day after writing this it came back! Its so strange. It starts and stops from day to day. Had nothing yesterday, was walking up to pick my son up from nursery today and just felt the 'gush' luckily id a pad on!! I fricken hate wearing them! I switched to using always too and the rash has disappeared thankfully... one less problem lol.

When i was just staining i found when i needed the loo (#2) the blood was flowing out of me. Even after when i was up and about it was nothing more than staining. Has anyone else had this?
Wish it would go away now!!

Id an episiotomy with my first and ot took me a good few months to get back to using tampons. Youll get there

Mine has stopped and started too, in the way that you describe. Mw said it was normal but it's most unpleasant.
