Bleeding but scan shows sac?

Hello

I should be 9 weeks pregnant, started bleeding with cramps and was sent for a scan. Scan showed a sac but they could not find a heart beat. Scan showed sac at 5/6 weeks. Has anyone had this? Got to go back in 10 days for another scan.
Anyone been in the same situation and been ok?
How can scan show 5/6 weeks when I should be 9?

I had a miscarriage last year, I should have been 9 weeks but the baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I had to have two more scans over the next week which confirmed there had been no growth, I was then offered medical or surgical management. I went for surgical management. I hope you have better news when you go back.

I was in a similar situation and unfortunately it wasn't good news. I should have been 8+4 but baby only measuring around 6 weeks. I had to wait two weeks for a rescan to see if there was any growth but miscarried naturally at home in the meantime.

I send you my love as I have been though thus last week

9 weeks I started bleeding like a heavy period, my EPU wouldn't do anything for a week so I paid for a private scan that same afternoon.

They confirmed that the baby stopped growing at 6+3 and there was no heartbeat - the yolk sac had collapsed and I was suffering from a delayed miscarriage.

I bled constantly for a week, today I had my re-scan at the EPU and they confirmed that I have passed it all and the pregnancy is over.

It all upsetting and exhausting but there isnt anything anyone can do ... you just have to put you faith in Mother nature in that she knows what she is doing...

Hi Dancing Queen,

i had this and i am now 29 weeks pregnant, it happened that i ovulated later than expected, when i went to my second scan there was a heartbeat visible.

fingers crossed for you!

i have also bled several times through my pregnancy each one worries you but unfortunately there is nothing you can do and its mother natures way.
