Bleeding after birth

Hi ladies hope ur all well..
firstly just like to say I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on 23/2 😊 my question is in regards to bleeding after. it was almost like a heavy period didn't bother me to much however earlier this afternoon I felt a huge gush between my legs and it soaked through my pad and clothes. they say to contact ur MW or doc or HV if u have heavy bleeding but I can't seem to get through to anyone. should I be worried? I feel slightly crampy? sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section. x

Just seen this. Did you get through to the midwife/doctor? I hope you're ok.

I had a bleed 3 weeks after and my husband called an ambulance :-S

Yep you must call MW or HV hun!

Defo call the mw or Dr however are u using maternity pads as they absorb far more than regular pads usually bleeding is more than a period type hope u ok xxx

I had this the other day, my bleeding had almost stopped and then all of a sudden I got a gush and soaked a whole pad, now it is like a heavy period again. Mentioned it to mw and she said there must have been a blockage.

How is your bleeding now? If its normal again I wouldn't worry too much but still get in touch with your mw to be safe xxx
