I know it's usual to bleed for up to 6 weeks after giving birth but how heavy should it be in the first few days? I'm changing my pad every couple of hours and it's pretty heavy. I'm also really sore and struggling to move anywhere after being cut :(

Mine was so heavy in the first few days that I struggled to contain it and would often get it everywhere when going the loo. I was constantly mopping the floor and spraying with anti bac lol
It can be really heavy but should then taper off. If you get any clots or it doesn't seem right you must contact your mw x

It not clots its just a very heavy flow. I don't think it's helping that I'm still in hospital so I can't really rest and recover as am up and down all day and night which doesn't seem to be helping me heal one bit.

I bled for 6weeks after my first. 3weeks after my second and 10weeks after my third.
it can vary is colour and consitancy. i went through a stage of changing my 2 nighttime pads i had to wear at same time 2hours day and night.

its normal to be sore if you been cut or have stiches. i had a cut and stiches down there after my first with my third i had section so big cut and lots of stiches lol congrats x
