Bleeding after birth

Bit of an icky topic but..

How long bit you bleed for after giving birth?

it's been 4 weeks now and keeps changing between fresh, very pink blood to old more brown blood. How much longer is this going to continue, i'm just a little fed up of huge knickers and pads!!

i only bled for about 2 weeks, each person is different tho

the average is 6 weeks..i think i bled for 5 weeks had a weeks break and then got my first period!
i never thought of all the afterwards palava when i was preggers..pain in the butt isn't it!

I was exactly 6 weeks. Really heavy for about 2 weeks then it slowed right down and changing colour.

Mine was about 2-3 days heavy bleeding then it slowed right down and tailed off quickly. In less than 2 weeks.

Meant to be that having the injection to deliver placenta means lighter bleeding in the early days but it continues longer before it actually stops. Not having the jab means heavier in first few days but it stops a lot quicker. I didn't have the jab.

I bled for 5 weeks, but wore a pad for about 6/7 weeks because of icky discharge.

I think it was about 2 weeks,up to 6 is normal.
