Just wanted to have a rant as i feel i may need to scream. So im 19 weeks pregnant and suffered with insomnia pre getting pregnant well now its much worse and now im getting no more than 2/3 proper hours sleep a night. Since clocks have gone back my kids have decided anything from 5-6:30 is an ok time to get up. I could cry! :wall2: Worse thing is i posted on FB this morning that my kids should realise this isnt acceptable lol. To have a friend say whats your problem me and my oh get up at half 5 every morning for work.... Actually correction you have your days off whereas i dont!! And if you so wish after work you can go straight to bed..i cant! Im just sooooo tired and getting rattier by the minute. Rant over:nap:

Tut, there's always one smug friend who has to make a comment isn't there. I think people who don't have kids look at it as an easy life just because you don't get up and physically go to work everyday. I used to think like that, but since falling pregnant and having a reality check on what life with a baby is going to be like, i think it's fair to say that it'll probably be a 24/7 job with no bank holidays or weekends!

Hope you manage to catch 40 winks soon hun, i dunno how i'll cope with lack of sleep. I'm a cranky bugger already if i don't get a solid 8 hours lol xxx

Have you tried to relax and have a nice scented bath? send the kids to your mums or get OH to watch them or take the out for a few hours. I know how you feel hun I hated not being able to sleep x

Lol thanks. Its just frustrating. Cant have a nap as Jake had a nap this morning and paige is back at home now from nursery having her nap now. Just hoping they have a reasonably early night tonight so i can at least attempt sleep lol

Unfortunately my mum and i dont really see eye to eye so thats a no no lol. Husband is on nights at moment so he is currently fast asleep in bed. Im so jealous. Its his last night shift tonight so i know i will get to have a "lie in" as such on thursday(well till 7:30 when i will have to sort paige out for school) xx

Sorry to hear about your mum hun. I have had a few ups and downs with my MIL.

I actually got my first full nights sleep last night with my son actually not waking up for a bottle, my BF was getting annoyed with the fact he is nearly 9 months and was still having about 4 bottle a night from 7pm - 7am. Found giving him supper helped :).

I think you should make a nest on sofa and declare to your children dvd night in and cuddle up maybe you might all get alittle nap x

Definately sounds like a plan! Me and my mum get on ok, she just isnt the most of reliable of people and to be fair i hardly see her. Was thinking of asking docs if there was something they could give me to sleep but i dont think there is when you are pregnant. Will just have to look at alternative ways of relaxing to get to sleep x
