I had a bit of an 'incident' earlier.
My OH was driving us from his parents to mine and I began to feel faint. This is normal for me really and my bp has always been on the low side. But then i began to feel worse.
This is where it gets hazy, my OH was talking to me, apparently all i was saying was 'i want to sleep' and 'i'm a bit warm'
Then my eyes went all blurry and that's all i remember.
My OH was prodding me (whilst driving) and telling me to talk to him and that i'd be ok.

I think i fainted about 3 times in total. Matt pulled over into Tescos (nearest place to stop) and he put my seat back and i put my legs up on the dashboard. After about 5 mins I felt a bit better but still not right.

We went back to mine and OH called one of the numbers on my maternity notes, they gave him the mobile of a midwife and she directed us to a drop in clinic just down the road from me.

Whilst i'm used to fainting and feeling iffy in that way i've never fainted sitting down before, or several times in a row so it really shook me up!
Normally fainting/feeling faint is brought on if i've been standing a while or i've gotten up quick yet there was nothing like that around this episode!

I think I scared my OH too!!

Well anyway, at the clinic they took my bp and it was 110/40 - mines normally around 110/55 ish so it was low, even for me.

They also took some bloods (so now i dont have to go get them done next week, wooo) and said maybe i was anaemic as i was pale.
They tested my wee which showed a trace of protein, the midwives asked if i'd had any pain peeing (which i hadn't) they thought it could be a water infection but aren't sure so i've got to take a sample tomorrow morning to get tested for that.

They felt baby, she was head down (yay) measuring 29 weeks (yay) and had a healthy 140 heartbeat.

Basically they weren't sure what could have caused it and told me it was probably nothing to worry about but if it happened again to let them know.

I feel better now, a bit woozy still but ok :)

Wow, i've written an essay. Lol.

 for reading it!

Goodness me how scary for your OH!

You've definitely done the right thing getting checked out. I hope all your tests come back OK and that this is the last scary incident for you

Awww, sounds really scary, I hope you're ok.
I am glad you've been checked over, hopefully they will find out the cause quickly and sort it for you.

ten out of ten for the fast acting OH of yours!

Glad you are feeling a bit better- very strange thing to go through though. My MW said that it is very common for pregnant women to have problems with BP around 28 weeks either too high or too low which would just about fit with your dates. Why this is, is still a mystery (to me) though but I guess it must be increased demands from baby as they start to get bigger?

sounds very scary hun!!

your OH sounds like he did a good job of looking after you :) I hope it doesnt happen again

Sounds a bit of a fright for you and your OH. He did all the right things though :)

Have a rest up and hopefully if there is a problem it'll be found in amongst all the tests they've done.

It does sound scary  . But your OH sounds really cool and you sound like you dealt with it well too (once you woke up!).

It's good to hear you feel better now.

How scary...lucky it wasnt you driving! Hope you are feeling better now, take it easy

I know! has put me off driving a little bit really! I'm not the most confident driver as it is and i'm a bit worried about feeling ill at the wheel. Luckily i don't need to drive very often!
