What's yours?
Mine is just literally do whatever you need to do!!!! Lol
And just gas and air for me! Would love a water birth but Lincoln hospital doesn't do them! Would love a home water birth but as I'm only sixteen and this is obviously my first, it's recommended that I go to hospital!
Due date is slowly creeping up on me lol, nervous!!! xxx

I am not saying no to anything yet! My pain threshold is about par with a paper cut and I pass out at the sight of blood. So it could be an interesting birth!

I like the sound of a birthing pool and luckily Aberdeen Maternity hospital have one - but only the one I think.

I basically told the midwife, if I the drugs are available - I will try them all! If I don't need them, it will be an added bonus!

Hi hun. Just to let you know Lincoln Hospital will be doing water births soon. I'm due in a few weeks and will be giving birth at Lincoln Hospital - we went for a look round the labour ward yesterday and they have a new birthing pool which has just been plumbed in. It isn't up and running yet as the rest of the room is still bare but it should be finished soon (probably not soon enough for me but should be ready by the time you need it!). Of course that still doesn't guarantee that you can have a water birth as there's only one it may well be that someone else is using it but still it's nice to know it could be an option! x

Oh wow thank you!! That's got me excited now lol!xxx

I'm would like a water birth too with just gas and air but I'm not ruling anything out other then an epidural!! lol. I really dont want a c section either as I wouldnt be able to cope with being awake while they do it so would have to be knocked completely out!!!

xxx

I dont really have a plan either, i do want the water though if i can!! xxx

If all continues to go to plan with my pregnancy, I will be going to a Midwife Led Unit, and am aiming for a water birth. I'm not against any drugs if I need them, but an epidural will not be available unless I am transferred to hospital. I am so hoping not to go to hospital, but am not going to get worked up about anything.

I don't think I'll bother with a plan this time. I had one last time which stated I wanted a water birth with g&a and if the pool wasn't available I'd still only have g&a and under no circumstances was I to get diamorphine.
The pool was available, but I needed to be hooked up to a drip because I stopped dilating at 4cm, so couldn't go in it. I had g&a, then diamorphine lol.
I'll just go with the flow and see what happens when it happens x

Tapatalking from my blackberry!

I really wanted a birthing pool but got told no as Boo needs to be constantly monitored, I was still going to go with a VBAC but after a lot of soul searching we decided to go for a second caeserean. I found my birthplan on pinterest & just tweeked it to suit me, so now I have two so that I'm prepared for any situation as there's a chance I could go into labour before my c-section x

I have opted for a water birth, at my hospital there is only one but my midwife said that if it is not available I can birth in the bath in the room. I have also opted for just gas and air as that was very effective with my DD, delayed chord clamping, a completely natural third stage no injection, partner to cut chord, if everything ok with me and baby for us to be left alone for skin to skin/first feed for as long as possible. Basically no intervention unless needed and left to move about as I wish. Of course I am very open minded so this is all subject to change depending on what happens at the time.

My plan is just a guide and information for the MW's. I am open to all types of pain relief and explained I was happy to deviate if means me and the baby are safe. I have also mentioned who I want in the room/visiting and my OH needle phobia.
