birth-day question

might be a silly question but for anyone that has had a baby before did you know that day it was going to happen.

my sister had niggles and felt different the day leading up to having my niece. she didnt know she was going to go into labour but says looking back on it now they were definate signs that it was gonna happen pretty soon.

just seeing if anyone had the same or was it just a case of all of a sudden contractions started.

might help some of us 1st timers out. xxx

My first labour I woke up in the middle of the night in pain and there were no warning signs whatsoever but with my scond I had a bit of a false alarm the day b4 n had a huuge urge to just check everything was ready my real labour started the minute I woke up the next day x

I woke up for my hubby going to work at 5am and then tried to doze off to sleep again but this niggly pain started and I just knew it was start of labour! Absolutely no warning the night before but some say they get lose bowel movements a day or so before....

i'm a first-timer but i did ask my mum this the other day!

with me she said she had really really bad back ache the day before, but though it was just pregnancy related as she was only 30 n half weeks! i was born the next day!
with my brother she said it was the same, really really bad back ache, had a bath went to bed and woke up an hour later as her waters had gone!!!

I was induced so I don't know either, this is like being a first time mum for me again coz I've no idea about anything.

i had niggles the whole day b4 having my son but didnt know it was the start of anything at the time and never dreamt id have him the next day.. I had niggles all day yday and no baby yet lol so obviously different this time round.

I had no signs at all! Just happened and I didn't even realise I was in labour to start with - just felt like baby moving down to engage - pressure all under my bump and found it difficult to sit down and get comfy xx

oooh mixed bag then. ive had bowels movements and back ache quite abit the last couple of days and nothing else is happening so obviously they wont be signs for me. xxx

First time erm i had lost bits of plug a few days b4 n I just felt like I was ready, I didn't no it was going to be that night but i did no it was soon if that makes sence

No warning for me! It was the day after my due date and I was round at a friends having a coffee with her and her mum when I randomly got a pain lol my mates mum looked at the clock and said 15 - that's how I know when my first pain was lol I went home on the bus at 4:30 lol

Obviously 11 years ago the were no forums like this one to inform you of what to look for so maybe there were signs but I did not know what to look for xx
