Im into my second tri now so starting to get concerned about stretch marks. I had some palmers cocoa butter anyway so at the moment I've been using that. However I wondered if anyone had experience with what is best to use, bio oil, cocoa butter or perhaps something totally different.

Im fully expecting to get stretch marks as ive already got some from when my hips popped out as a teenager. My mom, luckily managed to have two pregnancies and has zero stretch marks. I however take mainly after my dad. :(

I had stretch marks from growing up, but been using cocoa butter like it's going out of fashion and at 38 weeks haven't got any new ones yet.....

I bought the cocoa butter for bumps (can't remember what's it's specifically called but it's got a gorgeously satisfying dispenser) but after five-ish weeks I couldn't stand the smell of it. Had to wash the bed covers, fabreeze the matress and air out the room because it turned my stomach! If you can put up with the smell, go for it.

I have been using cocoa butter and do not have anything yet. I was going to get bio oil but I had some cocoa butter in the house anyway so decided to slap that on.

I go to bed greasy but I don't care :D

I'm using Bio oil. I did try cocoa butter but the smell made me retch . I could smell it on my pjs and my bedding and I found it sticky , I was not a fan. So I went back to using Bio oil xxx

I went into Lush and they advised on a massage bar that's good in pregnancy. It's so quick and easy to use. I have got a couple of small stretch marks underneath one boob but they just exploded lol xx

I haven't even been thinking about moisturising my boobs. I'll be very surprised if they suddenly grow that much. But suppose I best start moisturising there too just in case!
Trying to get it into my daily routine otherwise I'll end up forgetting. I find the cocoa butter im currently using only leaves me greasy for about 5 mins which I can deal with.

I've been using Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. It doesn't really smell of anything. I tried Bio Oil but it took too long to sink in and made me feel slimy.

I use Cocoa Butter!

Bio oil is no good for prevention of stretch marks, as it's mainly used for the scars that are already there, it has no rehydration protection in which the elasticity that your skin needs to prevent it from tearing the epidermis!
:-)

You can get a version of palmers cocoa butter which doesn't smell, although not sniffed it myself, i now quite like smelling like a chocolate bar.

I've been using cocoa butter and didn't have any stretch marks at all until I hit 39 weeks and then boom! They seem to be doubling by the day! :( But I don't think the cocoa butter is to blame, it's just ive reached a point where I just can't stretch any more and this baby seems to be reluctant to stop stretching me by exiting my womb! X

I'm using the coco butter but have been told that no cream or oil can prevent stretch marks appearing! It's a good idea to keep stretching skin well mosturised tho hence the reason I'm doing it. Apparently you will either get them or not its all to do with the elasticity of your skin. I don't have any stretch marks yet, on number 2, and neither do my mum or sister. Very lucky I know xx

I mainly used Nivea (the one with Almond Oil) from about 13 weeks.

Not one stretch mark.

Although it is thought you are predisposed to either getting them or not so creaming up is going to do very little (you'll smell nice and be soft though )

X

I didnt use anythin had a tonne of stretch marks but theyve all disappeared

I'm using cocoa butter, but can see a few pale stretch marks starting to come through. I do find it great for soothing my skin though as it has been itching as it stretches! x

I used boots sanctuary bump butter
Ohh it was lush. I only got 2 stretch marks. It's £11 a tub and I used about 5 from 6 weeks till the end

Xx

I'm only 12 weeks but I'm already using Johnson's baby oil gel. I hate putting cream or oil onto dry skin as it just makes me feel sticky and uncomfortable so I've been using this gel which I just slap all over when my skin is wet and I'm finding it great. Even my hubby is using it as I leave it in our shower cubicle. I personally can't stand the smell of coca butter products. I tried Bio Oil but it's really difficult to apply to such a large area of skin as I lather up boons, tummy, sides, hips, back as far as I can reach and thighs. I think drinking plenty of water is probably important too.

I used the main brand of cocoa butter and I didn't get one stretch mark

I have started using a stretch mark cream from mothercare. It's got sweet almond oil and shea butter and smells nice. It also absorbs easily and I didn't think it was too expensive

I got a mama mio gift set as a present it smells gorgeous :-)
