Hi,
With my daughter, i didnt realise i was in labour because i only had period pain and really bad back pain... Went into hosp because baby wasnt moving they put me on moniter and that said i wasnt even having contractions in my belly. Anyways i said about loosing blood that day and they wanted to induce me, so examined me and said i was 4-5cm dailated already! So turns out it was all in my back.

I keep getting horrible pain in my lower back which feel 'tight' idk how to describe it tbh... Asked on ovia and everyone said i was stupid because you only get BH in your tummy... But never even had tummy pains in real labour!! So thought id ask on here, has anyone had BH in thier back?

I've never heard of it? But I guess it's just the easiest way for you to describe the sensation?

I'd go straight away to ADAU to get checked if I were you, It may well be nothing at all but you don't want to take that risk especially if that's how you experienced labour before

Hope everything is okay x

How many weeks are you? I’m nearly 38 weeks and I’ve noticed recently that when I get BH I get the tightness in my tummy along with a bit of lower back ache, I mentioned it to my midwife and she said that was normal as BH can get more intense later in pregnancy. However, if last time that was a sign of labour for you it’s probably best you call your maternity unit for advice.

Im ok. My back was hurting like contractions it woke me up, had bad belly pain so was up at 4am. Been having period pain all day, took pain killers and its eased it. But ive been fine since. So no idea what caused it. If it comes back ill call up day assesment and see what they say x

Oh bless you poor thing... I'd go down straight away if I was you..I'm such a bag of nerves I HATE going to hospital, but if it turns out it is something (hopefully it's nothing) you can catch it early x Let us know how you are! :hugs:

It does sound like something you should get checked. I hate to cause panic over something that is probably nothing serious but what you describe sounds like there is some possibility of it being a premature labour. Any sign of premature labour is best checked out promptly because just a few hrs of warning can make all the difference to the outcome for baby.

Maybe drinking water and laying down?

PB completely missed this yesterday. How are you doing today hun? Hope you're okay

I didn't have a back labour but if it feels anything like yours did with dd and happens again Id definitely phone them. Especially with how it happened last time for you. These babies aren't playing around this time! Xx

Everythings fine, my husband said that when i was 28 weeks with my daughter that i was admitted to hospital because the thought i was in labour!! (i thoight it was much earlier but apparatnly not, baby brain). It started at 27+6 exact same time as this. Turned out to be nothing. So maybe its just a super growth spurt or something at the same time. I wasnt too concerned tbh cos he was moving around fine. I have midwife this week so will bring it up. Thanks ladies :) x
