What are everyone's thoughts on the effect of spicy foods and bf??
Dh has been trying to blame the one small supermarket onion bhaji I ate last night for jess being really unsettled all night. I've been pretty good about not eating anything too spicy after friends warning me it can play havoc, but how much is too much???

I do find little man fusses at the boob if I've eaten spicey food but I'd have no ideas about what kind of quantity has an effect.
Would one onion bhaji do that???

I had to stop eating curry cos whenever I did, dd would be really sick and bring all her milk up! She's 3 now and won't touch any food that is even a little bit spicy! X

I've had several spicy meals and it doesn't seem to bother SR. I wouldn't have thought one onion bhaji would have an impact

Ha! Feeling more justified in my argument now! I don't think this small amount would do it...
Dear god the arguments have come down to onion bhajis... lack of sleep is great for this :wall2:

Lol! It is so hard to find out what they react to and not. I had one week where I had no milk, no coffee, no onions, no anything. Didn't help - lol!

Is she settling well normally?

xx

Up until H was four months I couldn't touch anything spicy. He was terrible fussy if I did. However from about 4 months it spent really make a difference what I eat now.

I've never noticed a difference in what I eat and my LO - though I do stay clear of alcohol and caffeine!

I had a curry on Tuesday night. By lunchtime on Wednesday, Jake had done 7 poos. I think they were linked!!!

I had nandos Tuesday and even had medium instead of hot or extra hot and weds had some very runny nappies. I am still doing a mix of bottle and boob so can't say it's definitely that.

I definitely don't think one bhaji would do it x

I think the only way to tell is trial and error. One unsettled night could be down to many things. If it happens again a couple of times you will get a better idea. Some LOs will react to the tiniest amount of something, others don't seem to react to anything.
