Best time to have dating scan?

I'm really intrigued by this thread!

I really don't know how far along I am as I had a normal 5 day lmp ending on 2nd December, I tested 3 weeks after that and nothing, then had two days of spotting 18th jan, then a positive test indicating 3 weeks plus on 15th Feb... I have my booking in appointment on 27th Feb, will they let me know when I can have a scan then?

I'm in the North West. Just really anxious to know more and get a good idea of where i'm up to in my pregnancy! First time and a BIG surprise!

I had a scan at 10'weeks and you could definitely see the baby shape he was jumping about all over the place and then my dating scan at 11 weeks 5 days and you could tell the difference so I don't know Hahha xxxx

There was a huge difference between 9 and 11 weeks for me in scan, so imagine would be for 10-12 too! X
