Best time for early scan

It will be an amazing gift, I will be exactly 13 weeks on xmas day :) I will have to see what rota I'm on that week and see if I can get a scan when I'm not working. Xx

What do you do Kanga? I am guessing NHS?

I hope I can have my 12 weeks scan the week before and then give our parents a picture in their Xmas cards.

I know I am a very long way from being there but I am so sick of being scared and worried.

I want to be like all other 'normal' pregnant women - I want to be hopeful and make stupid, silly plans for the future  I guess that will come in time?

It will be amazing to write Xmas cards with the scan pic for everyone, such a great idea.

Not nhs, I'm a cleaning supervisor at a leisure centre, so I have to work different shifts to see all my team. I do early's, like today, and start at 4.30am and finish 12.30 or a late working 3-9pm!! I hate it but didn't see the point in trying to change jobs when tttc as I can take it easy at work and get maternity benefits. I won't be going back after my maternity though! :)

I think we need to look to the future and act normal or will will go mad, I know I would! :) xx

I'm really glad i've read what everyone's said on here, im hoping to have an early scan too if i can! I had one with my daughter at 5 + 3 because i'd had some spotting and they couldnt see anything. 2 weeks later at 7 + 3 I went back and there was the teeny tiny heartbeat! It's worth waiting until 7 weeks I think. That said i'm desperate to have one asap! If only we had a little window into out tummies!

Lucky you not having to go back after. I wish I could be a stay at home Mum but realistically we need both our wages...

I'll raise my cuppa to being a 'normal' Mum to be :)

I will be going back to work, I have been studying bookkeeping so hoping to be ab;e to that from home after my maternity ends. If that doesn't happen though I will go back to the leisure centre, keep all my options open there :) xx

I have passed both my level 1 exams just about it book up my manual level 2 exam and still abit off doing my level 2 computerised.

Hey Kanga and CARNAT22, it's great to hear you're both more positive and not panicking (so much). I know it's so hard and I haven;t been through all this before so I understand it's doubly hard for you both, but I think it is important to try and enjoy this. We can help each other through.

Any new symptoms? I'm so not with it at the moment, I put 2 bras on this morning! xxx
