I decided to bite the bullet and get my belly cast done! It's just drying off now and i'll paint it later in the week (you have to leave it 72 hours).
It was very very messy and me and my OH and the room ended up covered in plaster!

Here's me all plastered up, sorry about the near-nakedness!

I painted it last night - the pics not too good as I used metallic paint so it's shimmery!

OH and I did one yesterday. After an hour and a half I was in tears and told him he had to stop - it should only take 30 mins :rotfl: He's a bit of a perfectionist and takes his time over things though he did think he'd been hurrying :rotfl:
I'll post pictures once I've taken them.

Where can u get these kits from?

We didn't use a kit - the kit cost around £20 (you can get it online and in argos) and contained the modelling roc (I think that's what the plaster strips are called), instructions, vaseline and gloves. We have gloves and vaseline, instructions are freely available online, including videos, so we bought the mod roc for £6.80 from an arts and crafts shop instead :D And we also bought the Sunday Times to cover the kitchen in. OH thought it was easier without gloves so don't worry if you don't have any.

I'm really glad we made it, though I have no idea what we will do with it. Put it in the attic probably. Or I'll fill it with lead and make him wear it next time I'm pregnant :rotfl:

What are you going to do with your one, Lucybee?

hehe, i'm Babybee... but don't worry there seem to be a few of us bees around! lol

I got the kit from argos as we had vouchers but yup it was just mod roc and vaseline!!

I'm not totally sure what to do with mine yet! I'd quite like to put it up on a wall.. i'm thinking of painting it with nursery rhyme style pictures!
I've seen some made into night lights which were cool!

hehe, with the lights where your nipples should be

:rotfl:

I think they are lovely- I'm not arty enough to decorate one well enough to put it on a wall though :(

That looks fab! I wish I did one now, wonder if I still have time
I think OH would enjoy doing it, he'd probably get all pervy though and mess it up by touching before it's dry :rotfl:

Course you still have time! It dries really quickly too :)

Lights where the nipples :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
maybe not for the nursery wall then, hehe,

Thats great i really wouldnt know what to do with it though
