Belly button

Sorry if this has been asked before but I have my belly button peirced and I just wanted to know what you did with yours. Did you manage to keep it in throughout your pregnancy or did you have to take it out?

i kept mine in up till about a week ago but then it started to get really sore and red so ive taken it out, but ive been just popping it in each day for a little while hoping that it will stay open as i havent got too long left to go xx

I had to take mine out!
Bit i have the worst strech mark ever where the piercing hole is!
It does go back in if i want it too bit sticks out half a mile!

I still have a few months left until I have to take it out but I might buy one of them pregnancy bars because I really don't want to take it out but If I have to then it's no the end of the world.

yeah i got 1 of them and on the plus side it has been fine up till week 34 so you might be okay, you'll just have to see how it goes xx

i managed 2 keep mine in all the time, only times i took it out was for my scans! was lucky for that,

So far ive managed to keep mine in. Ive been using a pregnancy bar which i got off the internet-its been really good. Iam hoping i can keep the bar in for my final few weeks.Only time ive had to take it out is for scans.

i had my belly button pierced 3 years ago and took it out when i found out i was pregnant, that would have been 6 months ago.

My bellybutton has been pierced for 15 years now so I'm hoping it will fare ok.

I have one of the plastic bars in it at the moment. Fingers crossed.

I know a few people that have used the retainer things from "ouch" and they all seem to really like them

I had to takle mine out, i couldnt find any where that did the strethcy bars, i do however keep popping one through every month to enable it to stay open, but my belly button looks like yours to..

I kept meaning to buy one of those retainers and never getting around to it, my piercing looked fine, etc... Then suddenly, a week ago, my insey belly button popped out!!! That just made my piercing push out and it began to catch on things, basically just became uncomfortable, so I took it out for the few days it took my retainer to arrive, and I've had the pregnancy one in since.

I've had my piercing for about 14 years - some friends have told me that now I'm going to be a Mum I should take the piercing out for good and grow up but I've had it for so long it's a bit of me really, I'd like to keep it.

Anyway, I've found the retainers are working well for me at the mo... wait until I get to 36 weeks and it may be a different story...
