I rang up for the results today, and they told me they bloody spilt my sample  if I was pregnant or there was a problem I will never know now. Oh well. Was so angry earlier but I've calmed down now. How stupid can they be?! :wall:

That's terrible Sami, I'd be really annoyed. :wall:

HI

Hope you get your results soon hun.
Katrina

Thanks Saulino, but I came on so not pregnant. :(

I still have the appointment booked for the doctor today and didn't cancel it, but I'm not sure what to say to her now. Was going to bring up the little hoo-har with the OPK's (the fact I got 2 positives in one cycle and one very strong positive being 2 days before AF). I swear she is gonna tell me I'm nuts!
Anything else I should mention??

Yer - I think you should ask to be investigated for recurrent miscarriages!

There might be no explanation at the end but I personally think it will help you!

Thanks hun, do you think they will? I have 3 on file now and this last cycle was all over the place, would that make me eligable? Would I have to stop TTC?

They said to me they thought I should stop but I didn't as you see. I think it was because if they did find anything in my tests they could help prevent a MC :D

I would tell you GP you got positives on HPTs recently, a late cycle then a BFN - I wouldn't tell her you believed they were dodgy cheap tests though

Well I'm back with not much to say really.
She won't investigate reoccuring miscarriages as I've already had a live birth so I can conceive and carry to term (ish).
As for the OPK's, she has no faith in them so says to totally disreagard what they say unless they are NHS tests
Oh and BBT charting is pointless apparently because of the weather changes :?

So all in all, her advice is, have sex every other day the whole way through the cycle because sperm mobility is better every other day. Alll methods of trying to work out ovulation are rubbish?!

But I want a crown!! :rotfl:

When i saw my doctor earlier this year he said that OPK's aren't always accurate, except when i said that i was using the clearblue one's he was like "oh, ok... can't really say much against them!"

And why would my consultant recommend me charting my BBT's??

Why are all doctors so different in their opinions!!! :wall: :wall: :wall:

She said I can and it's probably one of the more reliable methods, but with the weather so irratic it can apparently affect it (where I live its all over the place)

I can agree a litte on the weather changes and charting, the hot weather made my temp rise a little but it wasnt anything major and i still got my red lines. I wouldnt stop charting because of the weather.

lol!!!
just confuses me why they all say such different things!!!
:wall: :wall:

She said it's the weather really, But keep doing it, although she said it's not really a great indication of much unless you have about 6months of charts.

Hi Sami, My consultant asked me if i was charting and using OPKs? I told her i used OPKs and she laughed and said that as long as we do it every other day like your consultant said ,then i would most likely get a BFP! She also said to relax and not think about it too much. Easier said than done. :x she also suggested that when i get a period, my OH has to buy me a present. i liked that bit.

my doctor spilt my wee sample on the floor then said "wooops" and left it. because its too hard to dip the stick in the wee...she had to tilt the tube..DERR! :x
