Well as you all know, I had these dreadful windy/tightening pains all day yesterday!
I managed to sleep last night and woke this morning and they have eased slightly. However, I was still concerned as LO hadnt moved much yesterday or last night so after much badgering from mother I rang the materinty unit and went in for a check up.
It seems my pains have been lovely Braxton Hicks! False contractions! Typical...why not the real thing! LO didnt move much on the trace to begin with but MW made me drink a pint of iced water and that worked a treat.
LO is still only 2/5ths engaged though! MW said this isnt a problem as they can not fully engage until well into labour but its a bit frustating. She told me to stop being so impatient because I potentially have another 13 days yet before they do anything. Thats not the point lol
Gotta see MW again Monday, then Consultant next Friday. The Consultant did say they would induce me on that Friday if nothing has happened but the MW has said they are going to let me go the full 10 days now before they induce, which in a way im pleased about as I want as long as possible to be able to go naturally if that makes sense!
Better happen before then...cant wait another 13 days
