MY little one dont go to sleep unless you make him go to sleep.. I want to change the routine. So I need to know, how could I make my baby go to sleep my itself without me putting him to sleep. Do you guys give bath, bottle feed then leave him to fell asleep?

Sometimes he sleeps with us but I want him to get use to his cot and learn to sleep by him without crying too much..hes little dramatic and helpful:shock:

I wish I could offer advice, but Oz is 10 months old and we're still cosleeping. He won't go to sleep in his own cot, and if we move him once asleep it freaks him out when he wakes up. I know the only answer is to be strong and let him cry, but I just can't bare it. And it would probably mean having a few nights or weeks, even months of really broken sleep while he adjusts, and well I like my sleep too much lol xxx

We started with bathing and then feeding in a darkened room at 10pm. He would feed at 2 am then 6. He sleeps in his own cot Toi.Then we dropped the night feed so he slept 10 to 6 then we brought bedtime earlier and earlier keeping same routine. He now does 7pm to 6.30am. He normally wakes up once but falls asleep again straight away xx

I would suggest you getting into a nice relaxed night-time routine as soon as possible and being consistent is also extremely important.

A nice playtime bath, then pamper time and maybe a story or some gentle nursery rhymes... Put LO down while using the same phrase "Bedtime now baby" or "Sleep Tight" something like that, then leave the room and try to stay strong as for the first few nights there will be tears etc.

This is completely down to the parents and what they want though I have two little boys and the first co-slept with me until he was near enough 5 believe it or not! (I was a single mum and for the first 2 years of his life we lived in my mums spare room so taking him in beside me was a lot easier than letting him cry).
The second was sleeping in his own cot by 8 weeks and sleeping without tears at bed-time at about 12-16 weeks. Things get difficult again when they move into a bed as they can just jump out again but that can be kept for a new day.

I say, find a method that works best for you and your baby and be consistent with it.
