Hi I have 5 year old and 10 month old daughters.....they will be sharing a room a soon as I feel they are ready - obviously at first the lo will be still in a cot (I hope), but 5yo is still in a toddler bed as was waiting to get bunk beds next....but now I don't trust either of them with bunk beds! what's stopping the little one going up the ladder behind closed doors (when shes in a bed of course) and my 5 yo has soon crazy ideas of what might be fun:wall2:

So want to save space on the floor (the room is not tiny but nor is it huge)....2 full size single beds in there would take up too much space!

any ideas? even if they are wacky or silly ideas - they may just be what I'm looking for, lol. Even contemplated getting a girly tent with sleeping bags lol:dance:

What about a single bed with a proper pull out bed underneath? Or bunks, but don't put the ladder up just yet.

We have the above bed and it's lovely not to high although we're not using it as a high bed yet

My friend put her two little ones in a bunk bed when she moved house and the eldest boy was about 3-4 year and her little one was about 2,5 going on 3 that year and they both were fine :)

any younger than 2,5 I don't know how she'd react but she obviously could climb out of her cot at that time so her eldest went in the bed on top and the youngest on the bottom. Am sure a 5 year old will be fine in a bunk bed.

Why don't you remove the bottom rungs from the ladder so the smaller child can't climb up it?

Hi I want!!

Im currently 9plus 4 preg with a surprise!! Early scan tomorow as not sure if going well anyway, if all ok, in a few mths were buying this from ebay, not cheep, you have to paint yourself and buy mattress's yourself but safest ive seen on steps for younger child.

We had bunk beds before, tops recomended for age 6 and there was no way my daughter wasn't climbing and swinging off it, far too many injuries

Hope that helps
