Braydon is 8 months old now and still refuses a beaker cant seam to get how to do it???
any ideas on wot i can do or is there a really simple training beaker i can get?

Ive got the tommee tippee beaker, just keep offering it to him and he will gradually get used to it! jamie doesnt like bottles any more and has all his milk/juice in a beaker now. I started it with him around 6 months and at first he would chew it, shake it etc, anything but drink from it basically! Just keep going he will get the hang of it in the end!!
The tommee Tippee beakers are the only ones he will drink out of though! and ive found these ones definitely the best! :D

I've just started Ella with a doidy. Gave her some expressed milk in the bath so when she spilt it all down her it didn't matter!

Sarah if you have an anywayup cup they are very tough at first, when Mason was little I used to poke a fork through the valve at first so it leaked a little bit till he got the hang of it.

urchin so a beaker that isnt anyway up is better lol

It's all a personal choice I guess, but I like the anyway up best because they are easy to clean and don't have valves and stuff inside that milk etc can cling to.

Hiya Sarah

Ky will have a go with his beakers but I don't think he gets that much because he gets bored of holding them before he's drank a lot (I think I have bought about 5 different brands because he didn't seem to get it at first)- He doesn't seem to have a preference as to whether they are the spill proof ones that he has to bite, free flow, one handled or two handled. He'll have a try with whatever you offer him.
What I have found is he much prefers to drink from a cup or bottle (ie 5ooml pop bottle) if you hold them for him (he puts his hands over yours and makes you pour faster!) He drinks remarkably more this way. Having seen Kim's link I am going to give those Doidy(sp?) things a try because I think Ky will like them....I'm not sure I'll like the mess though!

Hows he getting on in this hot whether? - Is he drinking much from his beaker at the moment?

Reece has loads of different cups but his fave is definately the anyways up cup. I hate it though cos it is so hard to get the lid off!

He has a tommee tipee one witha flip up spout but when he dangles it of his highchair everywhere gets soaked.

I bought one today when I saw it in John Lewis!

This might be a really stupid question rosie, but I presume the slanted bit points towards their mouth? There's no instructions!
