Bank overdraft

I've been putting money in my account whenever I needed to spend it and 1 day it says on my account overdraft charge £80. I've been using my own money I didn't borrow the banks why am I getting charged £80?

I'd have a good look at your account terms and conditions, some accounts charge just to have the facility of an overdraft even if you don't use it.

Although most now offer free overdrafts or only charge when you use them. Maybe best to give them a call ad ask them to explain the charge. Sounds a lot for an overdraft fee!
