Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a wee bit of advice!

I've had quite sore cramps all night, feels just like I'm about to get my period :( I've been getting them since I found out I was pregnant but last night it was virtually constant.

Do you think this is normal? I'm trying not to freak out here because I know thats not going to help but I'm scared. I am reassured because I'm not bleeding although I keep going to check

Thanks

Lou x

I was told if there's not bleeding not to worry (but then again te advice i got at first was pretty shit)

I had quite bad cramps in the first weeks, and have had a couple again this week, apparently it's stretching pains. Any pain is going to worry you and if your concerned you could always ring a midwife or nhs direct for advice.

I'm sure everything is fine, but we cant help worrying

I had a lot of cramps during 1st trimester- MW advised me not to worry- just stretching pain where you are starting to grow. Hope you feel better soon

It really is completely normal, but I understand how worried it make you feel.

I had loads of cramps in weeks 4 and 5 and then a bit later in first tri too. I spent the entire 1st tri running to the loo to check if my period had started. It is just your body stretching and adjusting.

It could also be a bit of the old constipation doing its evil thing also. Where everything is squishing up to make room for baby, it of course puts pressure on those other areas and can make for some nasty cramp feelings all round.

But its very normal to feel cramps as others have said. Baby's got to have room so its all stretching :)

I had period like pains for the first few weeks but they've eased off a bit now. A friend of mine had period pains all the way through her first tri to the point where she was sure she was about to start her AF

Thanks girls, I feel better already :)

I have my GP this morning anyway for a chest infection that I can't get rid off so I will mention it.

I think I'm going to be a nervous wreck until I get my first scan and know everything is going well.

Thanks again for your support I don't know what I would do without this forum

I have had the same thing!! Sometimes its not so bad, sometimes it really hurts and I get very worried! I think its just natural to be worried but Im sure everything is fine and it is reassuring to hear others who have the same things isnt it? lol

Hi BTW!!

I had cramps all the time in the 1st tri and i still get them now just not as often. its completely normal but if you need to put your mind at rest phone your MW or the NHS. And don't be embarrased about going off to check if your bleeding, i did it all the time in 1st tri and i still do it now sometimes! we won't be the first to have done it and certainly won't be the last, lol

Thanks girls! I think I'm just panicking! Any little twinge & I freak out, I was at my GP yesterday and mentioned it and she did put my mind at rest.

It's good to know you lot understand my worries!

Thanks
