I had to have a spinal when I had my retained placenta removed. I've noticed in the last 2 days my back feels very tender in the centre and also when I'm bending over to see to my lo my back is killing me! Is this just a side effect of the spinal and if so will it go away? Is there anything j can do to help ease it? Thanks ladies x

Its definitely a side effect of the spinal hun. I had to have one too as I had a forceps delivery and my back was in agony. I would say, for me, it lasted about a month. I took regular pain killers and used hot water bottles over the area. I already had existing back problems though so think this aggravated it further. Sorry I don't have a more positive experience! Hope you feel better soon x

Mine was so sore from my epi after an assisted delivery, but it got better after a month. I found stretching helped as well as bending my knees and not my back to pick LO up xx

Thanks ladies, the weird thing is my lo is a month old and it's only just started hurting now... Strange!
