As expected... house sale fell through!
We're all very low and frustrated. Need to be strong...

Oh hun, am so sorry, those blooming people. If I win the lottery this week I'll buy it off you. Wish I could do something, hang in there it will happen

:wall: Sorry to hear that Emilia. Is the South African system similar to the English & Welsh where purchasers aren't legally committed until the papers have been exchanged (typically only a few weeks prior to the completion date) or like the Scottish system where missives are concluded a few weeks after the offer is made?

Sending lots of "buy Emilia's house" vibes to potential buyers in S.A!

Really hope a new buyer comes along soon. When does the school term start/end for your children?

Ohhhhh Hun, keep smiling, you'll all be together soon. There must be a reason 'why' So sorry for you xxx

Thanks everyone...

Lucy, the system here is like England. Although a contract has been signed on acceptance of offer, the agreement is terminated if the buyer doesn't come up with the dosh on a agreed date.

I love the Scottish system. Probably the best in the world. Makes sense and everything is done and dusted by 6 weeks. You know where you stand.

A lot of the people I know thinks that it has happened for a reason, but I'm just panicking about things. How are we going to keep up payments on two homes and that on 1 income.
So, I've decided to sell my car - my DH has a pickup in the city. Will have to walk everywhere, which suits me just fine. It'll be a short term solution, but it's got to be done.

Thanks for all your support!

You're all so kind... thank you very much - I really appreciate your thoughts. :D

We've had 2 lots of viewers... both lot very interested, but we'll have to wait and see.
DH came home yesterday and we're had to do a lot of talking. We've decided to sell my car in order to get some money to make the move and keep the 2 properties going (our own until it's sold, and the rental one we'll be moving to).

So, I expect a little more stress and pressure over the next few weeks, but I do hope and pray that all this will ease off. It has been really hard, but perhaps now, I can just see a teeny weeny bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

WIll keep you all posted!
Emilia xx
