Back from the doctors

Well my doctor is so lovely, he sat us down and listened to everything I had to say - he was most impressed with my charts and said it was great that we were being proactive about this - he checked my chart from last month and also the tests that I took to prove I was pregnant and laughed and said well there was no doubt then - which for some stupid reason really made me feel better.

Anyway he agrees that it may well be my progesterone levels - he explained to us why sometimes that causes problems - and arranged for me to have a CD21 test done this cycle - he wants to do a CD2 test next cycle for FSH levels and also something else I cant remember what now. But the great news is that he is referring us straight away to the fertility clinic - he said it may take a couple of months for an appointment which is why he is starting the tests now so I can take the information with us and cut out some time when we do get seen.

I could have kissed him........... he also said it may be other things but lets deal with the easiest ones first.

I know it sounds silly but I just feel so much better knowing we are actually doing something about it...... Anyway not much going to happen now until CD21 and my first blood test but hey how exciting....

Thanks all you ladies for being there for me - my DH told him all about this forum and he said that he thought they were a great idea - at least people are able to actively help themselves and get support at really hard times.....

Fantastic! At least you can relax a bit, knowing that something's happening - and that you're being taken seriously. If you get seen in a couple of months it'll be perfect timing for a productive Christmas break

Excellent news, its just so reassuring to know that the Dr's are taking you seriously and are willing to help you. Make sure you stay on top of things now and don't feel cheeky about chasing up that appointment.

Thanks ladies, he is an amazing doctor although I have to say he is also my sons football coach so sometimes its just so embarassing to see him!! On other occasions it really helps that he knows you out of the surgery I think......

Having said that he would probably have done the same for anyone, he is an excellent doctor - only problem is you have to book an appointment weeks in advance if you want to actually see him rather than one of the other ones at the surgery.

The funniest thing is that when we went in he met us at the door and said that he had a student with him and did we mind - of course we didnt so the appointment went ahead - when my soon to be 18 year old son asked how it went I told him that the doctor had asked whether we had the families support and we had a bit of a joke about him thinking we were too old and I said to Josh even the student laughed - Josh then tells me that the student was his mate!! He is spending some time with the doctors before he applys to medical college!! Now my poor son is mortified that not only does his football coach know that me and my DH are actually having SEX but so does one of his mates!!! Apparently its tooooooo Grooooosssss for words...
