Spent the weekend away with OH in Surrey.
We had a lovely time and seemed to spend it all eating! We had gourmet burger and chips for lunch in a local bar then, cream tea at the hotel after we went for a walk around the lake which the hotel overlooked, with ducks and swans (shame the weather wasn't better!) then a gorgeous dinner! (Not to mention stuffing my face with a full english the morning AND croissants and jam!)
We even had sparkling wine in the room that I had a wee sneaky glass of! Hell it's been 7 months, it wasn't full and I bloody loved it!!
We had a funny/scary situation on our way to the hotel, we came from home needing petrol, assuming we'd pass a petrol station, we were about 10 miles or so from the hotel when the petrol light came on in the car. This hotel was in the middle of nowhere and we were driving through these hilly, windy country roads with barely any houses! Both our phones kept dipping in and out if signal and OH had forgotten his satnav! It was safe to say we were both bricking it! My OH decided to turn round and head back to the main town while I managed to (JUST) get enough 3G signal to google petrol stations and managed to direct us to one in the nick of time!!
