I went to my midwife today and she listened to baby, for ages, then she didnt say anything and just wrote in my notes, she had recorded the heartrate at 120, is this a bit low? or is it about normal? I have never had it recorded in my notes before so have nothing to compare it to.

120 seems ok to me. My LO'S HR varies a great deal. They have recorded it in my notes since i was 16 weeks. It has been as little as 120 and as high as 150. Im sure if anything was wrong she would have mentioned something to you xx

Thank you, that has reasurred me. I think I worry too much sometimes

Hey hun, if there was anything wrong, i think she would have said or told you to go down to hosp for more monitoring. when i was pregnant with DD her HR dropped really low as she put the doppler on my stomach, it was just coming back up as you could hear it was very slow to begin with. she said ohhh.. i dont like the sounds of that then she sent me for 5 hours monitoring at the hospital turns out DD had the chord around her neck and i was induced the next morning. im sure theres nothing to worry about hun i think they just moniter babys HR all the way through, i know my mw does :) xx

I wondered this when I got the first bpm as I thought HB rates would be very fast in babies in the womb, but your MW would have said had there been any concern, don't worry kerrymac, as others have said
Our daughter's HB has always been low, she's just very relaxed in there, as was her big Bro I reckon hehe

Awww thank you everyone, you have made me feel so much better

xxxxxx

I don't know what is normal and what isn't but she would have definatly have said something if there was anything to worry about so stop worrying!!

Thats fine, when bubs is more active ie bobbing about in there it increases, shes was probably chilling out having a bud...
