Im already really excited about Flo's first word, but that could be because Oh's convinced its going to be daddy and im obviously convinced its mama all the way !

Mine was Nana, and nobody remembers OH's first word poor thing, so i was wondering what everyones LO's first words were and when they popped out, age and circumstances !

Im pretty sure when she finally does say her first word il be just drifting off to sleep and think ive imagined it lol

Mine has popped out a whole bunch of words including bum, boob, yeah, mum, mama, dada and goop*

*none of it intentionally of course :rotfl:

jayla was six months when she said her first word which was dada. my OH was going out somewhere an she said it just as the front door closed!

both Seren and Cally did/do the babbling of mama, dada, baba etc but Seren's first word that she knew the meaning of was "ready" just before she launched herself off the sofa.

lil miss started saying mum mum around 4 months when she wanted boob. So it was 6 snd two 3 as to whether she was saying mum mum for boob or mum mum for me as one was inter changeable  but at 5/6 months she could sign mum mum and said it with the word...so I knew she meant me, but at the same time boob still :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Angel has said Dada once. I sat there saying mum mum to her really trying to get her to say it as her first word, whenever that would be, but i said Daddy once and she copied! I was slightly gutted  I get the odd 'yeah' and 'hiya' but i don't really think she knows what she's saying, they're just words she hears alot.

James calls out Mum mum when he is crying bless him but doesnt say anything else. I knew his first word wouldnt be Dada

ryan babbles and says 'mama' 'dada' etc but his first word was 'peppa' as in peppa pig. think millie has brainwashed him! :rotfl:

Ellie first said DADA properly around 5/6 months and around 7 months she knew who DADA was. Shes not said MAMA yet apart from with other blurble!! :( She tends to point at me if she wants me lol! She also says alot of other words now (hiya, baba, cat, no etc) but no mama!! x

Alex said Dada first, then Baba and now says mummmmmmm.

Jack's first word was mama.. but of course it was all babble at the time and not sure if he knew what it meant.

He says Dada, Mama, D (for dog) and ta (thank you) never on demand though :shakehead:

green bean says dada but doesn't know what it means. My daughter's first word was hiya, and she still says it in the exact same tone, intonation etc. Makes my heart melt!

well at the moment, Livvy can say Dada, not intentionally though I don't think... but she DOES say Hiya whenever she holds anything remotely telephone shaped to her ear.

she also says mm mm mm mm mm if she is thirsty.

x

It was Dada (very early, but he didnt realise that Dada actually means something then)... Or, maybe it was not a dada but Dan-Dan :rotfl:
