hi mummies,

When I had Olly I never bothered wearing him, just used his buggy everywhere.
Olly will be 2 1/2 when the new baby comes and I'm planning on getting a baby carrier.
Now I'm totally naive about this, is googled and I'm just as confused.
I want to be able to use it from birth, also can you put them on yourself ?

Can people please recommend what they have and why they liked it , and how much it cost ?

Thanks so much

We wrap which is super easy and folds to be able to take it out with you. You can also pre tie it on you and then just slip baby in when out etc :)

You can have various kinds, there's a moby wrap, liberty slings, close caboo(this is pre wrapped) depends on your budget really :) I love baby wearing!

I bought a wrap last week as my little girl constantly wanted to be held and was screaming when she was put down so mainly got it to get things done. I bought a liberty sling as button mentioned and it came with instructions how to wrap and it's so simple and convinient I pee tie before I go anywhere and carry her in this rather than use my pushchair now. Mine only cost 20 pound brand new so was a bargin. I'm also thinking about getting the nct close caboo too! Xxx

close caboo all the way! adjustable but pre tied to save time...also have a moby wrap which can be more snug fit as more flexibility but it can take up to a minute to put on correctly whereas caboo takes seconds...

Another vote for the close caboo, its great, soo easy and Alexis is soo content in it. Xx

NCT close caboo all the way! Easy to put on, can use from birth and baby loved it!

I have a caboo as well and for when they are bigger a boba :) x x x

Ladies, how does the caboo support baby's head? Didn't look clear in the pics so thought I'd ask.

The fabric strap holds the babies head against your chest when little but you can change the position for breastfeeding a baby or for when they get older.

I had a cot 2 tot stretchy wrap first but I found it too much of a faff and it made us both sweat. I'vie since bought the close caboo and find it much better.
Search for them in YouTube as you will find loads if how to videos on them. You may also be able to find a sling consultant near you who will help you and they often hire them out too.

I have the nct close caboo too and love it. Easy to use once you have worked it out and very comfortable. I got mine of eBay, brand new for £23.

Another vote for close caboo, although I foolishly paid twice the price from John Lewis! Humph.

I find mine really easy to get on and it's already pre wrapped, you just tighten it. Love mine for dog walks, the only thing is Alfie doesn't like his head down so he has to have it out of the strap and I have to hold it.

We have a bb slen wrap and a become Gemini carrier. We found going to a sling library really helpful. It is worth checking google/Facebook etc to see if there is a sling library or sling meet near you where you can get advice or try things out. We went to the South London Sling Library who have a very comprehensive website explaining the different things available which you may find useful even if you're not nearby.
