Baby Signing - is it any good?

Hi all,

I'm writing a piece for Parentdish about baby signing, and was after your thoughts on it!

Did you take your baby to signing classes? Did they pick it up easily? Did it work?

People say that a disadvantage of baby signing is that they take longer to talk. Did you find this to be the case?

yup theres another thread but couldnt resist posting as a qualified speech and language therapist, all research clearly shows it makes children talk sooner if anything. academic critics only really argue that its a waste of money/time. I sign with my son, its actually something we all do when we teach them to wave, do actions to songs, blow kisses etc... its just more useful when they can gesture 'milk' 'teddy' 'paytime' etc...

imagine if your preschooler started signing at you for cash
