Anyone know how long these last for? If I got baby a passport when she is 2 months old she is not going to look the same when she is 2 years so would I need to renew passport? We live near channel tunnel so pop to France often so she's going to need a passport sooner rather then later.

They last til they are 5 years old... ridiculous..but thats how it is.. Fynns had his passport since 5 weeks old.. I doubt he'll look anything like his passport pic now..let alone when he's 5

yes its 5 years ols, Louies passport is when he was 21 mths (ish) so hes still gonna have his at nearly 7

Yep my son had his passport from 5 months and not only did he not look much like the pic but also it was so light you could only just see his eyes?! Freeking crazy! Anything to get more money! They would be so much safer still being on parents passports!

Just remember to book an appointment at the registrar (to register your LOs birth) fairly soon after the birth as you will need a birth certificate for the passport. You need to tell them that you need an urgent appointment if you are travelling out soon after LO is born. I was told that some places allow to book the appointment before LO is born but this wasn't the case in North London.

We left the country for the first time when LO was 4 weeks.
