baby not moving as much as normal

Hi Ladies,

I'm having a bit of a wobble today and just want to burst into tears. Since yesterday my little boy's not been as active as normal, i can feel him move but not as much as normal. He's normal very hyperactive and you can see my tummy bouncing all over the place and it lasts all day. I'd say i've been feeling more than 10 movements a day if thats the rule, and i can find his heartbeat on my doppler, both last night and just now and its nice and strong and what it normally is. I dunno, i'm just so used to him kicking so much it hurts i feel unnerved. OH says he's probably just tired. I don't know if i'm winding myself up over nothing, but am all alone today and feel really worried x

hey. im 30weeks and i have the exact same prob rite now. im not worried cos i can still feel baby move but not as much as normal but we all have our quiet days. if your worries then ring your mw hun xx

Try drinking fresh orange, i got told it wakes the baby up and they move alot more!

Just try not to worry! As long as he's still moving around and you can find his heartbeat i'm sure he's fine x

i noticed me bubs wasnt moving as much over few days but when hubby started prodding on me belly the baby went right to other side an started kicking me lol think they sleep alot in the day an annoy at night . try not to worry so much hun i know its hard aint it xx

Try not to worry hun. As someone else said, they do have quiet days. You could ring your MW for some reassurance as hospitals dont tend to monitor babies until 28wks at the earliest because they are still so little and not easy to monitor. If you are getting a HB and some movement then try not to worry

I'd tried all sorts over the past couple of days, loud music, orange juice, a bit of prodding, laying in different positions but no joy. Couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, because he is normally so very active. I called my midwife and i think because of my history she wanted me to get checked out at the hospital.

So called the day unit and they wanted me to go in, they did a scan and baby is laying funny, he is fairly quiet and his heartrate is a bit higher than it normally is, but they seemed to think everything was generally fine, just to keep an eye on it. He has his back facing me and his legs and hands pushing inwards so he's kicking inside, but should turn back round within a couple of days. If he's still very quiet i have to ring back, and maybe go back down, but i'm hoping he will start kicking me again with a vengence and i will not moan that it hurts anymore. I'm just so worried about something going wrong and not getting to take him home, i've been ok for weeks now and then all my fears came flooding back this morning, really want OH to come home and give me a hug
