Hi, just looking for some advice really, I've been almost exclusively breastfeeding my baby (the odd formula/expressed bottle when I'm out) who is now over 5 months old. In the last couple of weeks she never seems satisfied & feeds almost every hour during the day. Hubby seems to keep her satisfied when shes had a formula bottle (or more!) Just feeling a bit disheartened that I cant seem to satisfy her with my milk. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Not had any problems yet but didn't want to read and run.
At over 5 months old I wouldn't worry too much as it's nearly time to start solids

Probably a growth spurt - just keep going with bfing as much as she wants and you'll get through it :)

I had an issue but it was much earlier, I just made it to 3 months. My lb was feeding pretty much every hour, he was very grizzley the whole time (a big change from the contented baby he was) and he'd dropped two centiles in weight.

I started combi feeding and then quickly changed to just formula when his temperament, sleeping, feeding pattern and weight gain dramatically improved with formula.

It sounds to me like your little one maybe having a growth spurt rather than the issues I had. Keep going Hun your doing a great job.

Stick with it you're doing fantastic! As someone else said, you'll be weaning very soon. Breast milk is always enough, it's why it's designed for but us mums are ao good at doubtin ourselves. More than likely a growth spurt so jut go with it an in sure it won't last much longer. Also remember it's food and drink, he could be thirsty in the warmer weather. I know it's not reassuring advice but ride the wave, you'll be glad you went with it! Also drink plenty and eat lot of oats to keep your supply up xx

Could be a growth spurt or baby ready to start weaning a little early? May be worth trying some super smooth little purees and seeing if that makes a difference? xx

Had exactly the same thing with my LO. We started feeding solids at six months to the day and that helped immensely.

She's 11 months now and I'm still feeding her. There are times when she's perfectly contented with breastmilk and times when it feels like it's not enough and she's better off with a bottle. I can't work out for the life of me what the pattern is... I think it's just one of those things

Keep persevering and if you need to give a bottle of formula now and then, then don't beat yourself up about it.

Had similar situation with my LD and I started feeding her with solids after 6 months.
