Baby not eating nearly anything after a lot of fever

Is this normal?

My boy had a persistent cough for several weeks and on Tuesday evening he got fever which lasted for 2.5 days and it got often up to 40 degrees. We went to the doctor and all his tests were good but he was perscribed antibiotics which he started taking yesterday. He's been crying a lot and has been very irritable, but what worries me is that this continues even now that he has no fever. He won't eat more than a couple of bites per meal either but he does drink formula, although not very big amounts.

If your still worried I would bring him back to GP. In my experience though so long as they are drinking & staying hydrated that's the main thing. Hope your little one makes a speedy recovery x

Antibiotics can cause thrush which in return can make their mouths soar.. I'd go back to the drs. With a temp in such a young child you should never leave it but at least phone 111. You can find a guide online to see what maximum temps are safe before you need to seek medical advise.
