I shall keep it short, as my labour was 
.
The pains started around 10pm on Wednesday night, they were like AF pains and pressure in my bum, and came on just like that 10 mins apart. I didn't relly think anything of it and thought it was baby moving lower down. I went to bed at midnight thinking the pains would stop, but I woke up 5/6 times with the pains until I got up just after 2:30. The pains didn't really increase in intensity but got closer together at 2-7 mins apart. By 4am I thought this may be it and decided to pack my bags. I went to the loo at 5:30 and when I wiped there was alot of mucusy blood. I woke OH up at 6, then got in the shower. The pains got a little worse but still very manageabe and between 2-4 mins apart, so by 7am I phoned the birth unit up and they said to come in to be checked over. We got there at 8am (after getting my parents out of bed to look after the dog) and I asked to be examined which I was found to be 2-3 cms and cervix very favourable, so the midwife gave me a stretch and sweep and told us to walk around and come back in an hour for another examination. By 9 we got back the pains had got much worse, so I was strapped up to the TENs (which didn't really work cos the machine was crap), then at 10 I had entinox (wowee ). Midwife examined me again at 11 and I was 6cm, and she asked if I wanted to use the pool. Went down to the birthing pool and got in, OMG it was so nice. The pains were getting much stronger but the water and G&A worked well enough to cope. At 12:55pm I had a big contraction and my waters went. MW asked if I had the urge to push and I said no, but as soon as I said it another contraction came and my body just took over and spontaniously pushed. MW said to just go with it, I wasn't arguing with that! I could feel baby's head going further down with each pain, then with 1 big push her head came painfully out, which made me jump out of the water and shriek 
then the next pain I pushed hard and her body came out. She was put straight onto my chest and MW asked OH to tell me the sex. GIRL . It was 1:17pm OH cut the cord, then baby was passed to him to hold whilst I got out for the 3rd stage. By the time I'd got out and laid on the mattress MW gave the cord a gentle tug and the placenta came out, without the need for the injection. We were taken to the clean up room and I'd got a 2nd degree tear and had to be stitched up, which hurt more than the labour, and my BP was 89/53. Baby was screaming her head off for ages but eventually latched onto my booby and had a feed. After that was done we were left in there for as long as we needed to have cuddles and shower. We went down to the ward at 3:30pm and there was only 1 other woman there so it was lovely and peaceful. Dtayed in overnight, all went well with feeding etc. but I didn't sleep much, due to kissing and cuddling. We came out this afternoon at 2, we would've been earlier but I had to wait for the blood results for my rhesus neg, and I had to have another anti d. I don't think I mentioned that her weight was 6lb7oz. She is absolutly beautiful and the spit of her daddy
