For those of you who are around 37 weeks how much does your little one move.

I think i have a lazy baby she never seemed to be as active as some of your babies but im a little concerned that she is too quiet.

Shes been very quiet since yesterday im not worried enough to ring the hospital as ive had small movements and i had a listen on the doppler and she was fine.

Mine started to slow down about 37 weeks - well I say slow down, I think she actually moved position. She started to move down between 37-38 weeks, and has also taken a liking to facing my back.

Hence I've had quite a few days where I don't feel anything for ages, then she moves back to the side and there's a party going on in there! I don't feel like I can feel all of her movements as they are not on my ribs so much anymore - but I can quite often see them.

I almost called the midwife a few times, but she always starts to move loads again. I always try the usual tricks of laying on my side, cold drink, ice cream. Though these things don't always seem to work - naughty baby.

Maybe yours is facing your back also?

Over the last few weeks baby has been more restricted in movements, rather than getting the really strong kicks and movements I am just getting more wriggling and squirming, but midwife assured me it was just due to lack of room at this stage.

I would keep an eye on it and any concerns at all just get in touch with midwife

I hardly feel mine at the moment, got the doppler out the other day to check he was ok!
I only really feel him in the evenings when I'm lying down, I feel his feet round the right hand side under my ribs so I think maybe all the sitting on my ball has been paying off and he's facing more towards the back :D

my little one has a few very very quiet days lastweek, but now hes never been more active not kicking just wiggling and moving about most of the day and night
manda xx

mines alwasy been on the quiet side, but she's been reeeeeeeally quiet the last few days. I reckon she's all out of room (time to get your backside out here then missy!!) She'll go quiet for ages, then i get some really big movements. Not really kicks anymore, cos she's got now room, but big sort of stretches. I've still got a little foot sticking in my ribs though, so even if i cant see or feel the movements across my belly, i can certainly feel them inside

I knew as soon as i posted this she would move around a bit more and she has which is great im a happy mummy again. :D

Still im off to stock up on some ice cream just incase she goes quiet again :D

Mine has had some quiet days over the last week or two. Some days I got a little too concerned and was about to ring the MW, but after a little rest and sugary snack, baby makes his/her presence felt again.
Some days he is a wriggly monster though!

When I saw MW on Monday she said ten movements a day was sufficient. She said if you can't feel him, just eat some sugary food/drink and lie down. If nothing happens then ring the hospital to be monitored, day or night. Noone will think you are silly.

Hope you are ok!
