Hi everyone, just looking for some advice / experiences.
This is my first baby, I am 17 weeks 3 days pregnant. Up until yesterday morning for a few days prior it felt like something was going on in there but from yesterday morning nothing, which is making me worry / over analyse things. Now I am wondering if what I was feeling was maybe stretching. A few questions -
When does the stretching / round ligament stop?
When did you first feel your baby move with your first pregnancy? Was it every day to start with? And did you definitely know it was the baby? xxx

HI I felt both babies move about the same time (pregnant with no 2 currently) around 16 and a half weeks. From then u til maybe week 22 it wasn’t every day and was intermittent. Some days more than others and some days not at all. I think it’s a difficult few weeks as it is stressful thinking you felt it one day and not he next. However from about week 22 I’ve felt it every day and now at nearly 25 weeks it’s super active. Hope this helps but I think stick with your cut instinct and if concered call mat triage x

With my first I was around 17 weeks but it wasn't daily at all. I had an anterior placenta (and again with this one) which didn't help. Regular movements started around 22 weeks with my first and around 20 weeks with this one.

I didn't feel my first baby until 21 weeks. 2nd from 13 weeks but not every day until 24 weeks

Hiya Hun,
I’m a First time mum , started feeling some weird things around 18-20 weeks. But stronger and definite kicks around 22 weeks . Currently 25 weeks and I get kicked all the time now! Even with anterior placenta, other people can feel them too. Just be patient, and try not to stress. You don’t need to be monitoring movement until around 23 weeks. If your losing any sleep over it just ring your midwife they’re usually really helpful and will offer to check heartbeat and reassure you if need be xxx

Thanks everyone for your comments and experience, it really helps, I have posterior placenta xxx
