what do we NEED for the first month or so? i have absolutely no idea what to dress him in.

so far i've bought loads of vests and sleepsuits, that's all. the weather is a lot warmer now too, so what else should i buy? would you put something like this on a newborn?

Not a silly question at all!

That outfit is adorable!
I know a lot of people say don't buy too many outfits as they can be a hassle to change. I think vests and sleepsuits are the easiest things for baby to wear.

Saying that I have TONS of cute baby girl outfits, probably a lot of hassle but they are so cute! Lol.

Maybe ensure you've a good stock of sleepsuits and vests and just a few pretty/cute outfits. Afterall you can always buy more!

You only actually need sleepsuits and vests for the first couple of months but I have bought loads of other clothes aswell that I don't even need

I'd say maybe get a couple of romper things aswell because of the hot weather :)

We mainly put Phoebe in sleepsuits until a week or so ago (unless we had special visitors :D) it was so much easier!

Now we started to put her in little outfits, which look so cute, but can be a bit of a pain in the bum!

In terms of hot weather, we ended up having to strip her down to a bodysuit in town today, and I still felt she was too hot! She has spent the rest of today in our flat in a nappy.

Hope that helps a bit?!

baby grows/sleep suits and more baby grow/sleep suits and lots of them get a few packs of them they will do you tille you need the next size up get fun ones with logos on the make them more fun to buy :D (they dont have to cost the earth )
Ive got 16 body grows 0-9 months mind i got them free
they dont need much else at the beging
their weeing pooing burping eating milky sicking machines so they need plenty of body grow to be changed into after they have been sick down it weed and pooed on it and got boobie or formula milk all over them

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: sorry but that what they do

at the start its best not to put over the head stuff on them like t -shirts and jumpers as they our so little and floppy its difficult to manover the clothes over them

snow suit for cold weather but id only get one as its so warm at the mo

all in ones for going out to keep the warm
when there a bit bigger romper suits and and then 2 piece sets with cardiies jakets leggins with feet extra

is get some lovey hooded baby bath towles there so cute and easier to dry your baby with

enjoy clothes shopping invest in a few things for the nest size up 3-6 months like the 2 piece sets (an exuse to buy the cute outfits  )

sarah

Definitely have plenty sleepsuits and vests (have a couple long sleeve/short sleeve/no sleeve). I felt Becky was too hot this week so went out and bought a few wee leggings, dungarees and a couple of t-shirts. Most of them I bought in Primark so I came home with a big bag full of stuff for less than £10. If you go for outfits make sure they're easy enough to take off or have poppers because if you're out it makes changing a chore.

We've had loads of little outfits as presents (interestingly enough none in newborn size, 0-3 months absolutely drowned her!) and they grow so fast I'd recommend not spending a fortune on them tempting though it is!
