there seems to be various options out there regarding baby bedding; swaddle blankets, grobags and your plain old fashioned cellular blankets. would like to hear any feedback mums have on any of these. do you think one is better to use than the other, is it better to use different ones at different stages?

At the start we were just using a square blanket similar to what the hospital uses, but Colby was forever kicking it off in his sleep, though I tend to use these blankets more through the day or if we are out and about. We tried to swaddle him but he didn't settle in them, so we bought a couple of the grobags. He is currently in a 1 tog which seems to be working well.

The only thing with the gro bags is you need to make sure their head cant slip through the top and suffocate them. This would only be a problem when they are very young if you had a really small baby, as they will grow into them. Colby was a big baby so we haven't had that problem. Once it gets a bit colder we will move him into the 2.5 tog. :)

hey,
we used cellular or the blanket for out in the pram or holding him for a cuddle and sleep when tiny. we used a large cot sheet folded into a triangle for swaddling for all naps and night time til 3 months. then we moved to sleeping bags which he really really loves. now 13 months and still in sleeping bags although he woke this morning a little earlier than usual and had his legs twisted in the bag, bless! he was quite annoyed!! it's a big size bag too! but may have to ,ove to duvet now if it's gonna wake him early!

have fun choosing it all :)

I Swaddled Tegan for the first few weeks then moved onto sleeping bags, she's still in them now at almost 1! x

We use sheets and blankets depending on the temperature. xx

I swaddled Jess for the first few weeks and then moved to a gro bag. Can't recommend the gro bag highly enough - great invention!
