Thinking of you Jen, takes me right back to my induction. I really struggled to sleep that first night in hospital and got told off by the nurses for staying up chatting with another lady! (I'm still friends with her now )
Rubbish nights sleep and I've had quite a lot of pain, still periody but a lot more painful, especially in my back. Will be examined later to see if I've dilated at all. Fingers crossed! Thank you for all your lovely wishes xx
Well I hoped I'd be holding the little one by now but it's not meant to be just yet.
The examination 30 hours after the propess showed that my cervix was only 1cm dilated but short and soft.
Doctor explained that as its my first baby it was unlikely to work straight away but is confident that the second one will work now that my cervix is slightly open. I've agreed to give it another go but have to have a 24 rest period first.
They've granted me ward leave for tonight so at least I'm at home with hubby.
My next propess is scheduled for half 5 tomorrow eve so hopefully tomorrow night will be my night!!
Can't wait to get into bed now. Hardly slept last night.
Ah good luck jen I think I will be the same as you maybe tomorrow as no pains or dilation
I would like a catheter now the bliss if just laying there and weeing my bits are so swollen from the pressure now it hurts

Ah how rubbish that these inductions aren't going to plan! I kind of feel like I've just wasted 4 days but I guess there's nothing I can do about it now.
You never know, your second propess might just be what you need. I think my cervix is just stubborn!
I know what you mean about the pressure. I've been in agony down there. Definitely won't miss that! X
If I'm completely honest was so preoccupied with ds that I barely thought about myself. I hated being in hospital so pushed myself to get up and moving as quick as possibly so I could go home. Take the pain killers when they give them to you. Be prepared to have legs like jelly for the first day or so. I did suffer with headaches after but that could be cause I'd had to failed epidurals before having a spinal and also lost a lot of blood as I'd been in labour for a long time before. I felt a bit bruised for the first few days but like I say I'd been in labour for a long time so that could have been why.
