Oh my goodness, that's a crazy idea to put babies to bed in their car seats!
We bought the Silver Cross 3D pushchair that came out in July, it has a mattress that you can insert into it for baby to lie flat and it converts in to a pushchair for when their older and it also has the car seat to use it as a travel system.
We only use the car seat with it on very short journeys, otherwise we prefer to lie Isaac flat as he's so young.
I liked the Quinny Zapp but I didn't buy it because you can't lie the baby flat.
