Hey does anyone sell Avon? Is it hard to make money? I mean i don't even open the catalogues that come through the door. Do you knock on doors cos I'm not keen :-(
Just feel its the only option to do this as I have baba

I did it for a couple of months and found it to be a complete waste of time and money if I'm honest xx

I started it about a month back, not gonna lie, at first it is a lot of effort for the money you get. BUT I love it! It's giving me time to get out and do something, we're out most days doing bits for it, so we're not stuck in the house and it's good exercise! I put a note on my books introducing myself and asking people to tick a box and add their house number if they're not interested! Means I lose less books and saves me time and people getting pissed off with constantly getting them thru the door!

I avoid door knocking at all costs! If you knock, people are likely .tp tell you where to get off straight away, whereas if they get the book thru the door they're more likely to take a look before deciding what to do! If books aren't left out, I just pop a note thru saying I'll pop back another time!

I think if you're gonna do it, you need to go into it with the frame of mind that it will tale a while to build up and you won't make a shitload straight away, it's like any business, it takes time to build a client base etc! Atm what I make is really just funding things I'd buy anyway, like shampoo and other toiletries with a bit left over, but at least I'm saving on buying them elsewhere iykwim?!

Thank you so much for that it helps!
So when you say you are out doing it most days, do you do more than just through the doors?
Can you see yourself making more as time goes on? X x

Tia, can I ask how you found it to be a waste of time? Did no 1 want to buy?

I pushed the books through and said be back to collect on a certain day, they either wouldn't leave the books out, or the order forms would be missing( which cost you money) or they wouldn't answer the door!! Xx

I go into shops and things too seeing if they want books! I tend to leave books with people for 3 days, so say I put them out on a Monday, I often have a walk on the Tuesday just to see if anyone's put them straight back out to avoid them going walkies, then I'd go out and collect weds morning, pop a note thru those that haven't left them out, have another walk late afternoon/eve to drop off books of collected to other houses and check if any more are out and then have another walk on the thurs!

It does sound really time consuming, but I think I'm only going out so much as it's holidays and I'm looking for ways to get out the house  it's working really well for me tho as it fits in nicely around the girls and they love helping!

I was really really skeptical, but a friend persuaded me to do it and I'm so glad she did!

Ok sounds good! Tbh I could do with the walking, and b can nap in the pram!
Sorry to ask so much, but what do you mean with giving books in shops, like for the owners to buy personally ? Or customers just randomly?
I've gone on the website and asked for more info, it doesn't seem like there is anyone in my area at all

Yea I give them to the people working! It's harder to catch up with people tho! The world's your oyster really tho, you can sell to people in offices, fb, ebay, carboots, markets, do parties!
